Specialised Counselling Techniques (Young People)

Specialised Counselling Techniques workshops are designed to enhance the skills of career practitioners working with both young people and adults, recognising that each group brings unique needs, experiences, and challenges to career development conversations. Through dedicated youth and adult-focused sessions, participants explore how established career development and counselling theories can be translated into practical strategies that support identity development, decision-making, and career planning across different life stages.

Specialised Counselling Techniques – Young People
Designed for practitioners working with adolescents and young adults, this workshop explores counselling techniques that encourage engagement, trust, self-awareness and career exploration. Participants develop practical strategies for working with young people who may be uncertain, disengaged or reluctant to discuss their future, using age-appropriate questioning, strengths-based conversations, narrative and creative techniques. The workshop focuses on helping young people find their voice, recognise possibilities and build confidence in making education, training and career decisions.
