Support for Schools

ACCE has deployed qualified Career Practitioners as Program Coordinators to work directly with schools in the delivery of the My Career Insights Program. All Victorian Government schools with year 9 students (or equivalent in a specialist setting) will be contacted by an ACCE Program Co-ordinator to facilitate student participation.

If you have experience delivering My Career Insights and want to get started, you will find all the resources you need in the Resource Library.

How it works / The My Career Insights flow

My Career Insights is offered in two parts:

  • An online profiling session which includes a series of assessments and questionnaires, accessed via the Morrisby website. Using the full profiling pathway, student complete verbal, numerical, abstract, spatial and mechanical aptitude assessments, together with an interests questionnaire and personality questionnaire.
  • A one-on-one interview conducted by an independent Career Consultant engaged by ACCE to “unpack” the Morrisby Profile and demonstrate system functionality for ongoing use.

School Administration Guide

This Guide includes everything you need to know about delivering student profiling sessions and over-seeing follow-up interviews.

We recommend that you print a copy and have it on-hand at each stage of the process.

ACCE Support

ACCE provides technical and service delivery support to all schools during the school year for My Career Insights. The Helpdesk can be contacted by emailing support@ceav.vic.edu.au or phoning (03) 9433 8033 during school hours.

Staff involved in program delivery are able to complete their Morrisby profile for free. This ensures that staff are familiar with the process prior to delivery. Please contact your Program Co-ordinator for registration details.

Career Practitioners, Leading Teachers and other staff working with students on the Program are able to gain Morrisby Certification. This self-paced course is free of charge and usually takes around 4 hours to complete. Please contact your Program Co-ordinator for further information.

The My Career Insights Team runs a series of webinars for Schools.

All webinars are recorded and uploaded here so that you can return to the content and view it any time you like.

Morrisby “Adviser Access”

Staff supporting program delivery are able to register for Morrisby Adviser Access which enables you to manage elements of your school’s My Career Insights experience including:

  • Monitoring the progress and completion rate of your students completing the Morrisby Profile
  • Accessing student Morrisby Profile Reports
  • Accessing interview notes generated during the one-on-one interview with each student
  • Resetting passwords for students, if required

Your Program Co-ordinator will be able to set you up with access and answer any questions you have.

DE Career Education Funding

Funding is available to support the implementation of My Career Insights and related initiatives. In the past, some schools accessed the funding to support delivery of profiling sessions and subsequent interviews by bringing in a relief teacher or some administrative support. Have a chat with your school leadership team about this funding and how it might support effective delivery in your school. Further information can be found here.
