Department of Education Funded Memberships

The Victorian Department of Education will fund ACCE membership for up to 2 career practitioners in each Victorian government secondary school until the end of 2025.

Schools that applied in 2024 will automatically get their expiry dates extended to December 31, 2025.

For new staff members applying for the funding in 2025 you must first complete the EOI form below. Funding is limited so get in quick.

Before applying:

  • Each new individual applying for a funded membership that did not apply in 2024 will need to complete the below application form
  • On completion of the form you will be contacted by the ACCE member services team membership@ceav.vic.edu.au 
  • Individuals who do not yet have a formal career qualification with a CICA endorsed course provider can still apply

Individuals can apply for standard, Associate or Professional Membership. For Associate and Professional membership, you will be required to provide a copy of your completed Certificate IV in Career Development or Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice or equivalent (with a CICA endorsed course provider).

Standard Membership

For individuals with no careers qualifications but would like to keep up to date with what is happening in the careers space.

A Standard member is not recognised as a career practitioner by the ACCE.

Associate Membership

Career practitioners who work in a career development field and who meet the CICA entry-level qualification for Associate status.

Associate Membership applies to individuals who have completed a minimum in the Certificate IV in Career Development with a CICA endorsed course provider.

Professional Membership

Professional career practitioners involved in career development and education that meet the minimum CICA qualification under the Professional Standards.

Professional Membership applies to individuals who have completed a minimum in the Graduate Certificate in Career Development Practice or equivalent with a CICA endorsed course provider.
