Biography

Kerry Brookes comes to CEAV Institute with over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of Secondary and Training settings including Secondary, Special Needs, Independent, Community and Alternate settings. She has experience in Curriculum Design and Development (NSW, ACARA, VCAL and Vic 7-10), Year Coordination, Team Leadership and Learning Support. Her “Systems Thinking” background is what guided her into the Careers and Guidance role pathway, and she has a passion for Lifelong learning and enjoys being able to create engaging curriculum and assessment.

 

Susan Elmasri

Biography

Susan Elmasri has been an educator for over twenty years and worked in a range of learning settings. After teaching internationally, she returned to Australia to deliver career and pathway education and counselling in the secondary and tertiary sectors. More recently, Susan served as Department Manager of Senior Secondary programs at one of Melbourne’s large TAFE providers and championed for hundreds of young adults complete their school qualification in an alternative setting. Susan values the importance of career management and is passionate about helping people gain career awareness and incorporate practical career development skills into their lives.

Biography

Penny Hysen is a professional member of ACCE and has a wealth of careers development experience in the education sector before commencing as a Trainer and Assessor for the CEAV Institute. Her professional life has been in teaching, year level coordination, curriculum development and Careers Education in TAFE, CAE and Secondary School sectors of education. Penny is committed to ensuring Careers Development has qualified practitioners delivering this vital service in both the education and private sectors.

Biography

Kris Robertson is a professional member of ACCE with experience across educational, career development, and therapeutic counselling settings. She is passionate about empowering individuals in their career journeys, with a deep understanding of how education and mental health influence career-related outcomes.

Kris has worked in diverse career settings, including secondary schools, private practice, and community-based programs. This breadth of experience has given her a well-rounded perspective on the careers industry and a strong foundation for supporting clients from all walks of life.

Biography:

Kristy is a proud Gunditjmara woman with more than 20 years' experience in the educations sector across the catholic, government, tertiary and Koorie education sectors. Her passion for building pathways and opportunities for communities lead her to her careers focus.

Kristy has been collaborating with the ACCE since 2017 to build the First Nations Career Development courses, and more formally in recent years as part of the Jobs Victoria Career Counsellors Service, the My Career Insights Program and now within the CEAV Institute.

Jenny Holmes
RTO Administration Team Leader

Biography

Jenny has been in senior level administration with CEAV Institute for over 4 years. Prior to that she ran her own Marketing Business. She also has over 20 years’ experience in HR Management, Marketing and Hotel Management across a diverse range of industry sectors in the UK and Australia.

Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in high level organisational administration and management. She has been instrumental in setting up CEAV Institute's student management systems in accordance with compliance requirements.

Nikki Pinder
RTO Administration Officer

Biography

Nikki has been the Administrative Officer at CEAV Institute for over 3 years. She has previously worked in several RTOs within the training and education sector. She also has over 10 years’ experience in the government sector and has a university qualification in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Nikki serves as one of the primary contacts for students, clients, and external stakeholders, overseeing the enrolment process and providing ongoing support to our students throughout their training.

Laura Ryan
RTO Administration Officer

Biography

Laura has varied experience working within education. She holds registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and has worked as a primary school teacher for the past 5 years.

She has been employed within the TESOL sector as both a teacher and student services officer. She has also gained extensive customer service experience through previous roles in the health care and hospitality industries.

Laura hopes to utilise her prior experience to help students efficiently navigate the enrolment process and to provide ongoing support during their training.
