Navigating U.S. College Admissions and Athletic Recruitment

EducationUSA is the U.S. Department of State’s official source of information on U.S. higher education, with offices based at the U.S. Consulates in Melbourne and Sydney. These offices provide free services to students, educators, and stakeholders.

With growing interest from Australian high school students pursuing undergraduate study in the U.S. through academic and athletic pathways, this session will demystify U.S. university admissions and athletic recruitment processes. It aims to build staff confidence to effectively support students and families.

Topics include admissions policies and timelines, holistic review, school profiles, application support, recommendation letters, Common App guidance, and an overview of athletic recruitment expectations and educator roles.
