CDIP Victorian Catholic Schools 2026

The Career Development in Practice (CDIP) workshop is designed to equip new careers practitioners with strategies to develop and deliver effective career services within schools.

The workshops funded for Catholic schools by the Victorian Catholic Education Authority are listed below. Please register for your preferred session. Participants must attend both days.

All sessions have a maximum of 20 participants and places will be allocated in order of registrations received.

The Australian Centre for Career Education(ACCE) will confirm registration and provide venue information.

In the 2-day workshop, we’ll explore:

  • Development and delivery of career services in schools
  • Understanding and using career education frameworks
  • Development of career education curriculum as a whole school approach
  • A day in the life of a career practitioner
  • Role and responsibilities of career practitioners including ethical practice
  • Understanding the Career Industry Council of Australia Industry Professional Standards for Career Development for Career Development Practitioners and the Australian Blueprint for Career Development (ABCD)
  • Sourcing labour market data and using it effectively to support students, teachers, and parents
  • System knowledge and initiatives – education, training, and employment understanding how systems are integrated.
  • Using the Career Education Planning and Improvement (CEPI) Tool to self-evaluate and report on school career education activities
  • Role and importance of Professional Membership and ongoing Professional Development.

  • May 6 and 7 Warragul (Diocese of Sale Office, 6 Wilton Street)
  • May 19 and 20 Shepparton (Notre Dame College 135-141 Knight Street)
  • May 26 and 27 Horsham (DOBCEL Service Centre, 6A McLachlan Street)
  • June 2 and 3 Melbourne (Treacy Centre 126 The Avenue, Parkville)
